Registration, Login, and Project Access

Q: How are user accounts handled?

A: XAP authentication is handled through a 3rd party Auth0. Visit https://xap.report and click "Login". You can login, register, or change password from this screen.

Q: Can I authenticate with a Microsoft Account?

A: Unfortunately, no. Corporate email accounts are not provisioned for the 'Login with Microsoft' functionality. Please register with e-mail and use your company email with a unique (and different) password.

Q: My project lead cannot add me to the project?

A: In order to be eligible for an XAP project you will need to confirm your account by responding to the account creation email (Confirm your email) and then login to XAP at least once to link your Auth0 account to XAP.

Once you see an empty audits list you can let your PM know to add you to the project.

Managing XAP Audits

Q: How do I create a new audit?

A: You can reach out to an XAP Admin to create a new project. On an as-needed basis some people may be added to the administrators list and can also make audits ad-hoc.

As an administrator there will be a form to create a new audit on the audits landing page.

Q: Can I delete an Audit?

A: Only the project owner (whoever created it) can delete an audit. The functionality will appear on the dashboard page if applicable.

Q: How do I add new team members?

A: Once your team member has registered for XAP and logged in at least once you can add them to your project on the dashboard. Copy their registered email address into the 'Add User' field and select the appropriate access level.

Q: What are the different access levels?

A:

  • Administrators have full access to the project, they can add users, create and modify criteria, and upload content to the audit.
  • Users can edit responses to items, create filters, charts, and gap charts.
  • Inactive users have no access to the audit, but their activity history and responses will be preserved.

Q: How can I back up my audit?

A: On the Inventory Tab click 'Download CSV' in the side bar. This will export your audit with current responses and can be re-uploaded to a new audit if required.

Criteria can also be saved for re-use later by browsing to the Criteria Tab and clicking 'Export Criteria'. This will export a .yaml file for easy import in a new audit by browsing to the Criteria Tab and clicking advanced options and uploading the saved file.

Item Assessment

Q: The item preview is not working

A: Unfortunatley not all webpages allow their content to be embedded into 3rd party tools like XAP. XAP can generally reach and display any public facing content, but some content is protected by DDoS protection, Captcha, Firewall, or other blockers. On the item page you can select View Live to open the item in a new browser.

Note: All links will open in the same new browser window, allowing you place it side-by-side with the audit to allow easy access to the assessment forms.

The XAP application bundle is run locally and does not have the same issues with embeddeding 3rd Party Content. Check the updates page for the latest release.
